The "Smurf"

This car started out as just a simple, cheap project. It was purchased from Memphis, TN. back in May, 2008. I seen the car for sale on the Maverick forum (http://mmb.maverick.to) and drove from here in Central Kentucky for 7 1/2 hours to purchase and pick up this car. The car itself had very very little rust in it, and only had one dent in the body itself. Once we got the car home, that's when the fun began.

It started out being a simple engine swap just to make a decent driver out of, well.... I dunno what happened but I ended up installing a 5.0 engine in it from a '91 Mustang and making it carberated. After getting the car running and driving, i decided to have a local body shop do an 'economical' paint job on it. It's not perfect but looks good and serves it purpose as a daily driver. After paint then come wheels, a set of polished 17x9 Bullitt wheels for a late model mustang, wrapped in BFGoodrich Comp T/A tires 245/45/ZR17. We also installed some new, or good used interior parts and other stuff here and there and then after all was said and done I decided I needed some gears to bang thru. So after much thought and deliberation, I installed a T5 5speed manual transmission from a '94 Mustang GT. It wasn't too much of a challenge but if you dont have a grinder, lots of discs and a MIG welder (or access to these) then i wouldn't recommend diving into this swap.

Here's some pictures of the car as of 8-1-08..
